Dude... as mentioned, the difference is that the 'reason for my call' was firmly listed with the 0844 number. NOT the 0344 numbers. Did whoever updated the website not update the number at the top then?

New bookings, price or availability enquiries for flights, hotels, car hire including new bookings using Avios or American Express vouchers

It has happened to me before, where I called a BA number and they said I chose the wrong number and I would have to dial (and wait) again simply because they apparently had no ability to put me through - that's a whole other story that could have warranted another post. Hence, I always dial the number they have listed on their website next to the reason I'm calling.

As mentioned - yes, in future, I will never abide by these numbers rules ever again.
