Thanks for your comments, everyone! I was a bit hesitant writing about the robots, so it was good to see that I’m not the only one who thinks that way.
Purjelentäjä, my ”Y experience” consisted of a walk around the A380 and a brief test-sit in a mostly empty cabin section. Very tight pitch, felt worse than on AY A320 in Y, which was surprising. However, when I was walking through the lower deck, I came across a small basket with mini KitKat bars. I took one, and an FA (who had not seen me come from the upper deck and could not know I was sitting in J) urged me in a friendly way to take more than one since they are so small. She appeared very friendly, not indifferent at all. Then again, if you compare your average short flight in Europe (HEL-WAW is about the same distance as BKK-HAN), I wouldn’t really call the AY Y CC attentive, either… I’d say you should give QR a chance if price and timings are right.
