What a great review by ffay005. I have about 20 flights with Qatar Airways (all Business class) and an endless number of Finnair flights over the years. I could not agree more with this review, exactly similar experiences and thoughts. Actually, the reason for the fairly large number of Qatar flights for me are the crazy campaign fares. Otherwise (if price and schedule does not matter) my order of preference within oneworld to Asia currently is Cathay (or JAL) > Finnair > Qatar.

My main points are:
- What is clearly better with Qatar: on-demand dining
- What is clearly inferior with Qatar: stops in Doha very late in the evening or very early in the morning, followed or preceded by the middle haul flight to/from Europe which is too short for proper sleep.

In addition, after the 20 flights, I am getting very much annoyed with the robots (that they call flight attendants) acting according to the script, similarly as the original poster. But I have the nordic mindset too.
