The first is a definite no. At this time, SZX cannot be used for TWOV either alone or in combination.
The second is OK if not over 24 hours measured from scheduled intl arrival at CTU to scheduled intl departure from PEK. And the passenger needs to not be traveling on one of the "No TWOV" passports listed in Note 2 of our forum wiki above.
