Just back from my stay at the FS Las Vegas, and to put it mildly I was not overwhelmed. I drove up around 2:30pm and figured I'd go for the valet parking as it was 104 degrees in the shade. Well I got out of my car, stood around the front enterance, asked a FS staffer standing there about valet parking, received a shrug in response, got back in my car (with a/c on) waited a bit more (total about 10min)-- then drove over to a self parking lot on their grounds and carried my bag into the lobby. No one attempted to help with my bag (it was a small rolling carry on, so no big) and when I asked about the check in desk, was told 'go straight then right. I did get a bit lost, and had to ask another FS staffer who pointed me in the correct direction.
Check in went smoothly and when I mentioned my problem with valet, they did say if I wanted someone could go out and get my car from the lot and bring it to valet, but I said at that point not to bother. My room (35-201) was ready, but it was a small dark room with one long narrow (2 ft wide) window in the corner of the room (but at $150 I guess you get what you pay for). I was not asked if I wanted assistance up to my room, but just told where to find the elevators. Yes it was ok, but not as nice as some others-- my view (such as it was) was over the parking lot with a side view of the pool areas. The bath was nice, and had good quality amenities, fluffy towels/ robes etc.
Would I stay here again (as opposed to the Westin etc), probably-- but my expectations would be much lower the next time.
