If you want to base it that way you should talk about doing what Delta did, and base it purely on cost of ticket/night.

If you think about it further, shouldn't it depend on the profit the hotel makes off of the guest? Some hotels may cost a lot but not earn so much, maybe because it is in a prime location. Some hotels may cost little but earn a whole lot.
