I think it was a FlyerTalk "thing" - to look for messages from other FlyerTalkerz. There was also a FT "thing" where we would sign a certain page of the NW inflight magazine.
That said - those fountains were torn apart and totally redone in the last year (I think), so, I'd guess all of that has been replaced.
