I don't think a few unique circumstances, that are obviously being skewed to benefit the initial complainant's stance, should be a reflection on the entire airline. I highly highly doubt American is teaching a corporate culture of racism.
A lot of situations aren't new worthy, but when the opportunity is there to make them into something more than they are it is taken. And in today's society it's not about what is true but about what will create the biggest social media response / firestorm.
