Thanks eeflyer! Yes ironically there are some routes that are deemed 'not worth' flying First Class on, and I can understand why.. MNL I think is one of the rare routes where F is there simply because SQ needed a large J and Y cabin to meet demand, hence there are some cuts such as the lack of Krug, and generally not-inspiring menu. But at least the rest of the wine is fantastic, and there is full access to the First Class Book The Cook menu and ground perks.

Have a great flight!! No, doesn't feel cramped at all. If anything it really feels extremely exclusive. I would prefer it over an 8F cabin anytime - half the number of passengers but same number of cabin crew (and toilets!!).

Yes I suppose so! Actually it was the stewardess who put it into the compartment for me in preparation for take off. Normally I wouldn't do that (and normally there is no such compartment in a lesser class... )
