Oh dear. I am not sure here, but I think it therefore depends on whether a Vegetarian or Vegan meal is ordered.
My OH ordered a Vegetarian meal back in June for LHR-TLL and got the vegetarian mains from short/medium flights (tomato/mozzarella)
as her starter and a pasta dish as main.
But here, for some reason, the short/medium
main remains the main on long band flights.
From a quantity point of view this is (even) worse than Vegetarian meals and certainly much less than a regular meal.
Let's now not speak about the lack of variation. If you fly say BSL-LHR-TLL you'd get the same meal twice. Well done, BA.
