On VS and AF you can upgrade from PE to Upperclass/Business for 20K SkyMiles each way, if the upgrade space is available.
Yeah, well I failed to mention it's also flying into London instead of Paris for the $280-300 difference, but I am meeting someone who will already be in Paris, so will just force them to buy a train ticket lol
Unfortunately since I just had my status match, I don't have any Delta points, otherwise the 20,000 point upgrade would make this a no brainer.
