Ask the concessionaires why they switched. I'm betting that 'To give Delta what they wanted, nine full years after the purchase of Northwest,' won't be among the answers.
I'm betting DTW was Pepsi because of NW. Remember NW had a contract with and thus served Pepsi. The new terminal opened and was basically built for NW.

Do you think DL didnt have a say in switching to Coke now that contract ran out?
