So true and since the transition period will be very loooooong it will create unpleasant surprises with plane swaps. Aircraft type (321) will NOT change IMHO but seating configuration will and you may lose your exit seat without ever noticing it.
And for others it can create pleasant surprises. Earlier this year I had seat 21F on a flight planned for an A32B. There was a last-minute equipment change to A321, where 21F doesn’t exist. I got moved to 8D, which was not only an exit row seat, but happened to be also in front of the curtain on that flight.
