UA142 NRT-DEN yesterday (Sun 10/22) diverted to ANC mid-flight due to crew member (I believe FA) illness. All-in, approximately 4 hour delayed arrival at DEN including original 60+ minute departure delay from NRT, which seems pretty good given the risk of time-outs and other issues that could have further delayed completion of flight. Biggest issue getting out of ANC was getting our medical supplies certified (sounded like crew used multiple medical devices and supplies trying to care for ill crew member before landing at ANC). While on the ground, a diverting DL188 (PEK-DTW) landed at ANC and parked next to us.
Does anyone happen to know status of ill crew member?
Proactive e-certs offered: $265 for me (UA Gold), $130 for my wife (UA Silver) on same paid itinerary (same PNR). Is this in the normal range for united.com/appreciation offers?
