I have been using MyFlights to monitor changes with close to 100% accuracy, not sure what will happen if AY just change 321 to another 321.
When an equipment change occurs, they move you to a similar seat. I have always got exit row still, when they’ve switched planes. However, it is to be feared this won’t happen if only the seatmap changes, you’re correct. My assumption is that it would happen, similarly to an equipment change.
