"We are going to have a little delay folks , we are currently Number 40 in line for departure"


The last two weeks out of ATL on connections we have been number 35, 27, 30 and 40 in line for departure!!! Needless to say all 4 of those flights were late arriving even though we got out of the gate on time. (2 flights were at 5 PM ish rush hour, the other 2 a morning and early afternoon)

All of my flights were in good weather with clear skies or very high ceilings.

I can see the new runway they are constructing from the air, it appears to be far from the terminals but I guess it will facilitate things much better when it becomes active.
