Can I game casino loyalty programs by not gambling?
For example, I have been to Vegas, registered for their membership cards, even matched MLife status. But I don't even get emails for discounted hotels that I hear that some people do. Again, I have never played a game at Vegas.
No question is dumb....
Yes, you can by "spend." But also by very targetted minimal play. A broad concept, games with very low house edge (let's call them 1% to 1.5% games). Specific play, done the right way will generate offers. They might not be stellar offers, but if you are a "virgin" card (never played any casino games before) this is the perfect scenario. Remember, a game with a 1.5% edge, you can for sure break based on comps/marketing offers. But, there is a quite bit more beyond a scope of this post. These are both concepts that will be dealt with at ZorkFest. Using spend as a component can also be important for attaining a higher status level.
I think a lot comes down to if you need/want/use rooms in Vegas (or other markets) and what the value proposition is for free or heavily discounted rooms.
