We ordered our meal choice (we both wanted Japanese) before taxi. On the next morning, the FA, came to me and said they’re running out of Japanese breakfast and replace it with western meal instead. I have no issue with it and said yes. The food wasn’t that bad though.

On the second sector NRT-DFW (same day itinerary), another plane, another group of FAs was onboard. The supervisor/head of FA (I don’t know what’s the title of her, and she was in a white jacket), came to me and apologize to me that I wasn’t serve with what I wanted. So I asked her how did she get to know that. She told me the crews from previous sector pass her a paper note with my incident.

Honestly, I was greatly surprised and amazed with this tiny little move from JAL.

P.s. I spotted a male FA, was I lucky enough? Lol.
The person in white would be the Chief attendant of the flight (ISM, CSM etc)

JL are usually quite good at passing these messages on to make sure the next set of crew can make up for the short coming as much as possible.
