Casa alitalia mxp

Yesterday I flew SV out of MXP.
I was flying C and on the BP there was the indication that I had access to MONTALE lounge operated by SEA.
I make an attempt to access CASA ALITALIA, I thought being AZ a Skyteam member and having an Elite Plus status would have been sufficient to go through.
I have been refused the entry, amen to that.

A friend of mine, who is CFP AZ, was surprised for this.
Well, for some reason I thought Elite Plus members had access to any lounge operated by a SkyTeam airline when flying SkyTeam. Apparently it is not so and perhaps it has never been. Can anyone clarify this matter?
Thank you.

PS. Though the post refers to what happened at CASA ALITALIA, the question is more general and about lounge access at airports where different lounges operated by different SkyTeam members exist.
