just out of curiosity — presuming a reasonably long flight, say DTW-PHX or similar, in the 3- or 4-hour range — what do you think would happen if there was exactly one remaining upgrade (and before anyone jumps in, no non-revs on the flight!) ... and you offered to split the reservation so you would get the UG, but gave her the opportunity to sit in F?
