I think your success might depend: are you paying for F, or award ticket? I imagine they would bend the rules for revenue customers, but maybe not for free tickets. (If you can afford F tickets, you can probably afford the cost of professional shipping: maybe $300 - 400. At least make sure to work out the backup plan if you get to the airport and they say no.)
