Actually the A fares are not subject to HIP but the F fares are. I'm sure most of us will remember a certain £990 F fare to SIN and all over Asia and Australia!

Those fares were all F, hence not allowing more than 24 hours in LON. Fully flexible...but only to a certain extent! Adding a stopover in those circumstances required an additional payment of around 13k!!!!
