In reading this thread it seems almost to the point where OP needs a 12 step program for over travelers, or an OCD counselor. No offense meant.
It sounds like maybe OP doesn't have enough consecutive time off to really get the benefit of where he is going. I would never be able to travel like that. It would seem a chore, not an enjoyment.
The last five yeas we have traveled out of the US about half of the year. We both enjoy the planning and the research of the areas we are going.
We have pretty much been everywhere we wanted to go, some of them several times. We plan to go back to Africa, Australia and New Zealand with a side trip to Tasmania since we didn't allow enough time for Tasmania the first time.
Good luck in figuring this out in a way that will be satisfying.
