Now retired and have lost my silver status this year. Intended continuing to use BA as a loyal customer but to be honest there is no justification in paying £99 / £85 each way to book a long haul seat in J for two of us. The money is not the issue, just what we can get elsewhere for better value and probably less hastle as Schipol is so easy to transit through. Have booked BA this year but KLM are available from our local airport and it is so much easier to transit through AMS. KLM are excellent although their J product is probably not quite asd good as BA. However, their prices are very good, the food on board is excellent and as well as being much cheaper in J one can book seats at no extra cost - have now done this for my next tri annual holiday abroad and it looks that after our next BA trip it will be another carrier from now on.
