More than one expedia account?
I have an account with expedia.com (US account). I recently purchased an airline ticket on what I thought was expedia.com but turned out to be expedia.ie. What happened was that I found the flight on googleflights and clicked through the link to expedia, which apparently directed me to expedia.ie (I did not realize this at the time and thought I was on expedia.com). I logged into expedia.ie using my expedia.com user name and password, which is why at the time of purchase I thought I was on expedia.com.
I contacted expedia.com by e-mail to ask them to move my flight itinerary from expedia.ie to expedia.com. No can do. Expedia.ie says they can't merge the 2 accounts but they can delete one account as long as I do not have upcoming trips associated with the account (which I do).
What I cannot understand and cannot get an answer to is how can I possibly have 2 accounts when I only ever set up 1 account (on expedia.com) and how could my expedia.com username and be recognized by expedia.ie? And will I even earn rewards points on expedia.ie?
any thoughts?
