I personally quite like the instant photos on EK as little mementos. Yes, they had (many, many years ago) been intended for the kids but even the paper frames they're being put into have evolved and cater for older pax as well now.

Instant cameras have (strangely enough and despite of Facebook, Instagram & Co) seen quite a revival in the last few years, too.

It's always nice as well being on a flight where the crew have the time and offer taking pictures - if you get the chance, go for it!
