I applied yesterday, paid online ($75 for US Citizen) and today, I got the approval email. Interesting that the e-visa page was not attached to the email. In order to print it, I needed to go here:
https://indianvisaonline.gov.in/evisa/StatusEnquiry
Once on that page, it pulled up the status and there was a button to PRINT the status, which generated the e-visa .PDF with my information, photo and barcode.
