UA does list "changes to type of aircraft" as a type of schedule change per

Though it's not a change to the arrival or departure time, it is a schedule change that could be unacceptable to a passenger.
And this link also says from/to airports must be the same and on UA. The poster was asking about getting on NH/OZ or a different route.
