Sorry if I'm missing this elsewhere. I have booked Points/Cash stays for my mom and a fully all-points stay as well. I book them at marriott.com and then call to change name. It's worked flawlessly and the Residence Inn in Moline has an amazing $50 + 5K points per night redemption when it's normally $139.

Anyway, these stays are showing up in my nights count. Is this legit? I always assumed I'd have to be in the room which I'm not. Has anyone seen these nights retracted? I just want to make sure I have enough buffer to keep Platinum if they do. I'm only lifetime Gold until I get some more points earned.
