Sometimes the mobile app works even if the website doesn’t.

Sometimes even if you don’t get the email receipt, you get the “Your United reservation for Detroit, MI, US (DTW) is processing” email which has the price and date.

Sometimes you’re flying on Monday and you go to the ticket counter and ask them to print a copy.

And sometimes you submit a screenshot of your credit card statement and hope for the best…
