For the record, I haven't had one of those TSA cards placed in my checked luggage in months despite knowing exactly when my bag had been opened (I tie the main compartment zippers together with a twist tie bent a specific way so I can tell when it has been untwisted and re-twisted).
Yeah, I've only gotten the notice once or twice even though my suitcase seems to be checked more frequently than that. When a suitcase is quite full, it's very easy to tell when things are taken out and moved around.
