BTW, for checked bags passing through the USA, either TSA locks are supposed to be used or the bag should be left unlocked, although AFAIK TSA is still required to put the notification in your bad if it's opened for "security."
I rarely check a bag but the last time I did (August) I got one of those TSA notices. I wonder if it’s a random search or caused by something that catches their attention.
