Save money by not having ceilings ... just let the architecture and the exposed wiring and plumbing say "Industrial". Someone else will change the light bulbs one day, when they can find the high-lift platform and the staff to do it. Or the cranes to clean the slats

You can see the same practicalitie issue at Westminster Underground Station. The only way parts of the station can be cleaned is using roped access which is once a year. Plus lots of spaces for dust to build up.
But it has won lots of awards for design so who cares....?
