The DoC page title has been changed to say that this rumor "seems unlikely" to be true, and now has a datapoint of someone getting two personal Southwest cards a week or so apart, the second one approved on 10/13.

So all this panic over nothing. That's what happens when people read sloppy datapoints and jump to conclusions based on them. Plus when people believe every single thing a CSR claims.
