think you are right as far as the EQPs - makes sense to me... (I'll see the results from my "Independence Day" travel on a YUP fare, my EXP qual legs this year.)
Miles, unless I am mistaken, would still be 100% - not sure the "A" class booked into makes any difference.
"AAdvantage members earn miles each time they purchase an eligible published-fare ticket and fly on American Airlines®, AmericanConnection®, American Eagle® or any of our more than 30 airline partners. They also earn bonus miles for flying on an eligible purchased-fare Business Class or First Class ticket on American Airlines or any of our airline partners as follows:
• An additional 25% of flight mileage flown in Business Class, or
• An additional 50% of flight mileage flown in First Class."
My question stems from my 1) obvious ignorance, and 2) that a walk-up full Y fare can actually be twice as much as a YUP fare purchased in advance
