The last I spoke, BA customer care said they are still looking for the duplicate charge in their system. The only thing I would like to add to my original post is that my dad had called BA after few days of buying the ticket for spelling error correction in his name. The lady had said that they will reissue the ticket after correction. The second charge in the cc coincides with the day my dad had called BA. Spelling correction with BA should not incur additional charges or in our case charging the entire ticket fare again for both passengers.
Spelling correction sometime after initial ticket issue could incur cost as you pay if there is difference in tax but it would need to be more than a dew days for this to happen.
i wouldnt expect that in this case nor should they have been charged again.
It is possible if they made a mistake with the reissue they could have charged again in error.
