Spelling correction with BA should not incur additional charges or in our case charging the entire ticket fare again for both passengers.
That process could result in a second charge for the new ticket and a refund for the old ticket. BA are very slow with refunds but they should have been able to see that and tell you. The ticket numbers should have changed as well.
