Probably. When I downgraded Prestige to Preferred the account number changed, which I had to assume means a reset. It'll be difficult to get a reliable answer either way, though, since I don't think you can trust what an agent tells you about this.
Agreed, unless you ask, "When did I open this account?"
By "this account" I assume you mean the Preferred account? In the (unlikely) event they give me the opening date of the card I downgraded from, I could probably assume the clock did not get reset.
Or did you have something else in mind?
