What does this mean exactly? Will ORD security turn me away at T5 screening? Or if I make it there will the lounges turn me away with a domestic only itin?

Both of those lounges are really lousy and the AF lounge will often refuse you stating they are full. You would be much better off seeing if you can get guested into Admirals Club (or United Club as it is easy to get to T1 or T2).
