I email Marriott to ask, they told me to call phone reservation line to discuss, well I would prefer get something in writing

Is there a higher rate that doesn't have the non-refundable language?
I would consider the rate non-refundable, but if you needed to get out of it, you could probably fight with Marriott a bit.
