Maybe there is hope in the newupcoming hotel check-in kiosk. Maybe hiring dumb clerks is planned calculated plot to drive us to the kiosks. I agree the FD crew at most hotels is the pits.

98% of their cranial energy goes in (1) getting your signiture, (2) getting your initials agreeing to the rate and (3) getting you initials agreeing to your check-out date. Everything else seems totally secondary.
