With all due respect to the phone agents, they don't work with the airport systems and often don't know what's possible.
Yes, I'll print out every single thing I have for both tickets. I'm sure I'm not the first person in the history of flying on Air Canada to have two separate tickets on the same carrier wanting to simply make a connection and have the baggage checked through. I'll cross my fingers that I'll have a competent, relatively high IQ AC agent to deal with. IQ as in intelligence vice imbecile. I have had other flights over 40 years of travel with two or three separate tickets and have had no problems. So AC would be the first major legacy carrier to not have the ability to 'inter-line' baggage on their OWN carrier!! That should make the front page headlines of the Wall Street Journal!
