Before asking, read the T&Cs carefully. You don't want to risk having your account closed if it looks like you're trying to cheat. SPG is extremely clear that for credit you must PAY and STAY, but I'm not sure how Marriott would view the attempt to get credit when someone else has paid for the room in advance with their own credit card.
