Thinking of the wrong alliance?

In oneworld, it's all about the marketing flight number and booking class, although being on the wrong metal can also disqualify you from earning.

For example, book a SYD-MEL on a BA flight number in O class, and you'll earn Avios and TP - including if applicable the tier bonus that takes Avios earning up to 125% of flown miles for Golds. Book the same flight on a QF flight number in E class, and you'll earn absolutely nothing.
