Upon checking IATA, India (New Delhi airport) does have TWOV if the connection is within 24 hrs, even on separate tickets.. why did you say no?

my situation is from TG bkk to UA Newark.
TG 315 20:55 DEL arrival
UA 83 23:35 EWR departure

I will beg TG to tag my baggage all the way...
