I was browsing Delta web-site before upcoming trip and found that they now prohibit any computer related things in checked baggage. I'm not so crazy to pack 27" iMac, but I do often carry "computer-related equipment" on work trips – chargers, keyboard, mouse, cables, hard drives and even small PCs. I was not sure if this is related to recent laptop bans so contacted Delta and they confirmed that all the things I mentioned above are prohibited in checked baggage (even a USB cable!). The only exception would be keyboard and mouse as long as I will use them with laptop, but if they can be used with PC - I cannot put them to the checked baggage
Except for I will probably have to avoid Delta, can anybody confirm if anybody heard of this rule enforced for that rule? (I know it sounds strange but who knows – it is much easier to transport a gun than a PC nowadays). I see old topic here about the similar issue with PC in a new box, but it looks like the rule is now more wider.
