I have been a loyal CO FF since 1988. That’s a long time in my book. I’ve been Elite on and off over the years depending on job situations etc. When I have lost my elite Status I just sucked it up and traveled like everyone else. Reading these boards I can clearly see that CO really has very little loyalty to its long time loyal customers. Trail Elite offers for switching to ATT. Give me a break! Targeted promo’s for non frequent travelers like “I got Elite for Doing Nothing Post” I find this very offensive. I can tell you this, I will dump my mileage next chance I get and switch to Jet Blue. I don’t mean to sound bitter but my life’s work is not to maintain my elite status. Those of you with current Gold or Plat imagine if your life circumstance’s were to change, for any number of reasons, and you lost your elite status, job change, illness, retirement etc. Your holding all kinds of unused mileage and suddenly you are treated like a second class citizen, in every way. But the guy who switched to ATT gets an upgrade to first.
