Flight prices out on ac.com but can't be bought?
This is bugging me, so I'll post it here if anyone has a solution. I have a booking that's outside the 24h window in 2h, so I have to decide whether it's worth trying to book what I want or not.
Basically, I want to fly TXL-FRA-YVR-YEG-YYC-FRA-TXL (AC9436/AC9101/AC242/AC8149/AC844/AC9247) in PY (TATL) on Dec 8 - Jan 8. AC.com will price this out in N (~C$1466) if I search as a multi-city on their website: TXL-YVR 12/8, YVR-YEG 12/8, YEG-YYC 1/8, YYC-TXL 1/8. After I enter credit card details, it errors out; same with trying to force the routing via Matrix powertools (and bookwithmatrix doesn't play nice with PY). This has been happening for a week.
If I search TXL-YEG 12/8-1/8 RT, however, it doesn't price out in N. The outbound is in N and inbound in E, which bumps up the price by ~$600. When I call AC, this is the price they quote me; same with my TA (Amex PTS). EF says that YEG-YYC-FRA-TXL is N1, and I've done all these searches on the Canadian website (so I don't think it's a POS issue).
So I've instead booked YEG-YYC-LHR-EW/TXL with a 5h layover in LHR for the return, but that's obviously not ideal. Does anyone have any thoughts on whether I can actually book via FRA both ways, or should I just accept being stuck in the LHR LH biz lounge?
