Not necessarily! I asked a similar question last week when I saw that I was on both the biz as well as first upgrade list (on a domestic 3 class bird). I was upgraded to biz at time of ticketing, but the mobile site still shows my name on the list (as confirmed). I was surprised to see my name on the F list as well.
It is nothing but Staff.... the system sucks.... Staff can - based upon their contract clear into First for many flights where 0 seats are sold in F/A due to plane changes - but staff go in ... GS and Revenues could be still w/L in Biz.
