You can downgrade to the no AF Preferred card. Which will keep your history with Citi going. AFAIK this will keep any points you have from expiring. But you will not be able to transfer those points to a FF program without access to a AF card.
Thank you! I used all my points already, most important is to convert to the best card with no AF, without any credit inquiry, preserving the credit line.
